Gainesville Midland RR No. 301 2-8-0
Steam Locomotive at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company presented it here as a permanent exhibit in memory of the important service engines of this type. Built in 1920, it was retired from active duty on the Gainesville Midland Railroad in Georgia and was one of the last steam locomotives in regular service in this part of the country.
